BAPTISM FAQS

WHY BE BAPTIZED?

Baptism is an act of obedience, in line with Jesus' instructions, symbolizing a life surrendered to God. The special significance lies in the fact that even Jesus Himself was baptized, showing His love for us as He identified with humanity.

WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF BAPTISM?

Water baptism is a public declaration of three very important things:

1. You are a follower of Jesus Christ. “Those who accepted his message were baptized.” —Acts 2:41

2. You are beginning a changed life in Christ. “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” —Romans 6:4

3. You are part of a new family. “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” —Galatians 3:26–27

WHY BE BAPTIZED BY IMMERSION?

Because JESUS was baptized that way.
"As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water." – Matthew 3:16

Every baptism in the BIBLE was by immersion.
The Greek word “baptize” means, “to immerse or submerge underwater.”

It also best represents the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I HAVE ALREADY BEEN BAPTIZED. SHOULD I BE BAPTIZED AGAIN?

Your baptism is a significant step, marking your commitment to follow Jesus, initiating a transformative journey, and connecting you with a new spiritual family. If your initial baptism didn't symbolize this life change, consider being baptized again to fully embrace this new beginning.
