Musana Medical/Dental Trip
Trip dates: October 9 – October 20
Location: Iganga, Uganda
Trip leaders: Cheryl Roberts and Jodi Gawf
What To Expect: Make a Global Impact—Join the Medical & Dental Mission to Uganda
This transformative trip is designed for medical and dental professionals who want to build relationships and witness the power of empowerment in action. Travel with a team to Uganda and experience Musana’s innovative model firsthand, seeing how sustainable healthcare and education are transforming communities.
As a participant, you’ll visit Musana’s schools, hospitals, and economic development projects, learning from and encouraging local change-makers. You’ll also play an active role in screening vitals and educating the community on preventative care. While you’ll bring your medical expertise to a cross-cultural setting, this trip is not about providing direct primary care—it’s about supporting and empowering local leaders in their knowledge and provision of care, ensuring long-term impact.
Beyond the work, this trip is a chance to explore how God may be calling you to serve globally, gain new insights into international medicine, and bring valuable lessons back to your own practice. More than just a mission trip, this experience will equip you to become an advocate and friend of Musana’s vision—helping communities thrive from the inside out.
Step into a journey of learning, advocacy, and encouragement. Join the team today!
WHO: Those with an active certification (must be able to provide a copy of valid certification/license) in general/family practice, trauma/emergency/field medicine, maternal/female health, pediatrics, dental, and eye specialists are encouraged to apply. In addition to medical expertise, participants should come with a curiosity to learn about who Musana is and how they partner with local communities, feel strongly about encouraging the role local community leaders play, have a willingness to be led by field staff, a heart to teach but also to learn, have a passion to discover what third-world medicine might have to teach Western medicine, and a strong desire to exemplify Jesus in all they do.
Cost: $3,250 (We have a team of people to help walk you through best practices for fundraising)
