OneChild Family Trip

Trip dates: July 12 – 18, 2025

Location: Choluteca, Honduras

Trip leaders: David and Sarah Grundy

Trip Details: This trip is focused on developing relationships with OneChild staff and children in Choluteca, Honduras, as well as developing community with others on your team. This trip will provide an opportunity for you to engage with your sponsored child and experience OneChild’s community transformation model in practice. Participants will gain insight into what God is doing around the world and begin to discover how they might bring lessons from this experience to reframe their lives back home.

WHO: This trip is open to anyone who is currently sponsoring a child connected to Hope Centers in Choluteca, Honduras. Children must be 14 years old and interested in interacting with kids from an entirely different culture. All participants should come with a curiosity to learn about who OneChild is and how they partner with local communities, feel strongly about encouraging the role local community leaders play, have a willingness to be led by field staff, a heart to learn, and have a passion to discover how a cross-cultural experience might impact their life. Above all else, participants should have a strong desire to exemplify Jesus in all they do.
