UNFILTERED IS TWO DAYS FOR MEN WHO ARE DONE WHITE-KNUCKLING IT.

There are men in this church carrying things nobody knows about. Work. Family. Grief. Pressure that doesn't let up. And every day they show up anyway, as husbands, dads, friends, exactly as they should.

But that's not the whole story. And you know it.

Unfiltered is not a conference about becoming a better version of yourself. It's a room where men in this church can drop the act, speak plainly, and connect with other guys doing their best to live as Christ calls us. Two days — Friday night and Saturday morning — of real conversation, honest teaching, and the kind of community most men don't know they're missing.

Come alone or bring someone. Either way, get in the room.

God has something real for you here.

Known for his discernment, and self-deprecating humor, Jesse is always looking for opportunities to develop and challenge the people around him, making him a reliable sounding board for all levels of the organization. When he’s not developing his staff, you can find Jesse playing ping pong, enjoying coffee, and exploring the outdoors with his wife Kara and four kids.

He has a passion to see men of all ages and stages walk in the freedom and purpose God has for them. Now in his 40’s, he still has dreams of playing in the NBA, and has an abnormal love for music and sneakers. But his love for his wife Bree, and children Jahnye and Lyric takes the top spot in his heart.

Breakout Sessions

Jim Burgen–Breakout Room 1

"How to Talk Politics Without Losing Your Faith, Your Friends, or Your Mind"

The election cycle is grinding men down — turning brothers into enemies and Sunday small talk into a minefield. Jim walks through how to hold deep conviction without becoming the guy nobody wants to sit next to. Leave with a spine, a softer edge, and a way forward that doesn't require you to disappear or detonate.

Alan Briggs–Breakout Room 4

"The Tired Man's Guide to Actually Recovering"

You're not lazy. You're depleted — and another weekend of half-rest isn't fixing it. Alan unpacks the rhythms that separate men who burn out by 50 from men who are still leading well at 70. Practical, unsentimental, and the opposite of "just take a bubble bath.

Jason Martinkus–Breakout Room 3

"What Healthy Sexuality Actually Looks Like"

Most men have only ever been told what not to do. Almost no one has shown them what a whole, integrated, free sexual life actually looks like — or how to get there. Jason reframes the whole conversation: less about avoidance, more about becoming the kind of man you actually want to be.

Jesse DeYoung–Breakout Room 2

"If You're Tired of Parenting Advice From People Who Don't Know Your Kids, Be Here"

Most parenting talks either guilt you or hand you a 12-step system that falls apart by Tuesday. Jesse skips both. This is a real conversation about playing the long game — parenting on purpose so the relationship you want with your kids at 25 is the one you're actually building right now.

The Flatirons Church Elders–Breakout Room 2

"Faith on Monday: Three Leaders on Building a Business Without Selling Your Soul"

No platitudes about "leading with integrity." No coffee-mug verses. Three men who've actually built real companies, made hard calls, and faced the temptations that come with money and power sit down for an unscripted conversation about what it actually costs — and what it actually takes — to follow Jesus on a Monday.
