  1. Read Acts 9:26-27. In this story Barnabas accepted Paul, who had a reputation for murdering Christians. This story emphasizes the importance of seeking to understand others. Why is this important? Share an example when you found it difficult to understand someone with opposing beliefs or views. How might seeking to understand that person have changed your influence on them?
  2. Shane Windmeyer, a gay rights activist, and Dan Cathy, the founder of Chick-fil-A, illustrates building a friendship based on respect despite opposing views. How can we demonstrate respect for others even when we disagree with their beliefs or actions? Can you think of a situation where you had to show respect for someone with opposing beliefs? What steps did you take to achieve this?
  3. Read Romans 10:12-15. This passage emphasizes the importance of spreading the gospel. We were asked, what we should do amidst a gap among people. What are ways we can be bold and spread the message of Jesus? Share some practical steps you can take in your own life to share the hope of Jesus with others, both within and outside your close circles.
  4. We heard multiple examples of people using their unique roles to make a difference, from business leaders to parents to teachers. How can you recognize and embrace your role in spreading the message of Jesus, regardless of your occupation or position? What specific ways can you use your resources, abilities, and opportunities to share the message of Jesus and influence others?
  5. Why is it crucial not to let the brokenness of the world harden our hearts, and how can we remain hopeful when facing such challenges? Share some personal strategies or habits you have developed or could develop to remain hopeful and focused on your mission to share the message of Jesus.
