You have been uniquely equipped to join Jesus in His mission to save the world. The truth is, when the Holy Spirit lives in us, we receive spiritual gifts that allow us to join our Messiah, Jesus, in His mission. We give him our believing loyalty, and He gives us the gifts of His Spirit.

// Discussion Questions
- Jim reminded us that we are in a spiritual war against an enemy that seeks only to steal, kill, and destroy, and challenged us to be all in with Jesus who promises to give us more abundant life. What does it look like to be “all in” with Jesus? If we are being honest with ourselves, what are some areas of our life that Jesus calls sin that we are not willing to turn over to Him?
- Jim emphasized the importance of being connected to Jesus and bearing spiritual fruit that positively affects our lives. (EX. career, relationships, families, etc.) What does bearing spiritual fruit look like in your life? How does being more connected to Jesus through reading His word and prayer help us in bearing spiritual fruit?
- Read Ephesians 4:1-3 In this passage Paul emphasizes that the peace and unity in the church should distinguish us from the rest of the world. Why is this important? If we are being completely honest with ourselves, is there someone in the church we need to make peace with? What step towards making peace with that person can we commit to making this week?
- Jim stated that our spiritual gifting is designed to contribute to the body of Christ in a way that helps the church reach a lost and broken world, and utilizing your gifting takes real commitment and sacrifice to the body of Christ. What does real commitment and sacrifice look like in our lives? How might God be calling us to personally “sacrifice” to help the church reach the world?
- Read Ephesians 4:11-16 The speaker relayed that when we accept Jesus we are not only forgiven of our sins, but we are given the gifts we need to follow Jesus and accomplish His mission to reach a lost and broken world. What spiritual gift do you think you have been given? How might that gift be used to reach the lost?
// Challenge: Jim stated believers all have at least one spiritual gift of the spiritual gifts listed (see next page) which gift does your group or someone else see in you?
