// Discussion Questions

  1. The sermon emphasizes the need to shift focus from success to significance by changing how we see people. How can we move from focusing on our own success to considering the needs of others in our daily lives? Think of a specific area in your life where you tend to focus on success. How can you change your perspective to prioritize the needs of others in this area?
  2. The sermon highlights Jesus' interaction with Zacchaeus to show that Jesus knows each of us personally and wants a relationship with us. Why is it important to remember that Jesus knows us by name and desires a relationship with us? When have you felt deeply known and valued by someone? How can you model Jesus' loving approach in your own relationships?
  3. The interaction between Jesus and Zacchaeus emphasizes the importance of relationships in spreading Jesus' message. How can we develop significance in our lives by focusing on deeper relationships with those around to better share the message of Jesus? Choose one relationship in your life where you'd like to build more relational equity. What actions can you take to strengthen that connection?
  4. Read Luke 19:1-10 Zacchaeus' repentance and commitment to restitution show a change in his heart after meeting Jesus. How does Zacchaeus' transformation speak to the power of encountering Jesus? Share about a time when you experienced a transformation or change in your own life after encountering Jesus. How has that changed the way you interact with others?
  5. Jesus' purpose statement in Luke 19:10 is a guide for our own purpose: to seek and save the lost. In what ways might Jesus be calling us to seek and save the lost in our own lives? Who is someone in your life who may feel lost or disconnected? What steps can you take to reach out and share God's love with them?

// Challenge: Who do we feel God is asking us to improve or have a deeper relationship with? Who is God asking us to share His love with that we can invite to church next week?
